Generic license

If you have source code for any of my programs, you'll normally find that it comes with a liccense that looks something like this:

This is the licence for the program.

This program - and its source code - are hereby placed in the public domain.

This means you can do whatever you like with them.

Modification, redistribution, commercial use, passing the code off as your own - it's all fine by me.

With freedom comes responsibility - this code comes with no warranty, and is not described as being fit for any purpose.

If you use this code, you do so completely at your own risk.

Under no circumstances can the original author be held responsible for anything you do with this code.

Enjoy

This licence is intended to allow maximum freedom to others wishing to use my code.

I would like to encourage others to partcipate in the development of my projects.

Allowing them complete control over what they do with my code seems the best way of encouraging this.
